Stanbridge Designed Home Scoops 2017 National Housing Award![]() Given the considerable effort our design team put into Village 135 in Wythenshawe, we couldn't be happier to know that the Wythenshawe Community Housing Group scheme was awarded the Best Large Development of the Year in the 2017 National Housing Awards. Comprising 135 apartments for older people south of Manchester, it features a wide range of facilities for residents and the local community, including a gorgeous bistro, luxury spa, hair salon, activity rooms and a fifth floor indoor garden room with fabulous views arcross the area. Stanbridge specified all the interior finishes, including flooring, wall coverings, bespoke joinery and lighting, as well as providing furniture, artwork, ornaments and window dressings. This national award is a great reward for the hard work of all involved. Royal Seal of Approval for Priory View![]() On 11 April 2017, our Managing Director Finn Lester had the honour of being introduced to HM The Queen at the official opening of Priory View in Dunstable. Accompanied by HRH Prince Phillip The Duke of Edinburgh, The Queen unveiled a plaque at Central Bedfordshire Council's scheme in Dunstable. As well as meeting residents and staff, the Queen spoke to those who built and designed the award-winning scheme. Commenting on her day, Finn said: "It was a real thrill to meet the Queen. She has a great sense of humour, asking me if I'm still talking to the builder and architect - which I'm pleased to say I am!" We are all delighted that the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh have officially opened one of our schemes - what a privilege to have their seal of approval. Stanbridge Recognised Again in UK Over 50s Housing Awards![]() We're extremely proud to announce that we have been awarded the accolade of Most Outstanding Interior Design Consultancy in Over 50s Housing in the UK for a second consecutive year. Sponsored by UK Over 50s Housing Weekly News, these prestigious nationwide awards recofnise excellence in this increasingly competitive sector. Managing Director Finn Lester, receiving the award at a glittering event in Kensington, commented: "I'm delighted that Stanbridge Interiors has been chosen for a second year running in this category. The team work incredibly hard to provide the very best service for our clients and their residents and this award is a welcome recognition of all their efforts." Stanbridge Schemes in Pinders Awards Double![]() Schemes whose interiors we've designed scooped not one but two major awards in the 2017 Pinders Healthcare Design Awards. Now in their eighteenth year, the Pinders awards recognise excellence in design for the care sector for both elderly and younger adults. The two schemes with which we were involved beat off stiff competition to win first prize in their respective categories. Best Independent Living Scheme (Higher) was awarded to Central Bedfordshire Council's Priory View in Dunstable. While nearby Greenfields (pictured), is operated by Aldwyck Housing in Leighton Buzzard and was named Best Independent Living Scheme (Lower). Become A Dementia Friend![]() We're delighted to announce that Stanbridge Interiors has teamed up with the Dementia Action Alliance and the Alzheimer's Society. We are now committed more than ever before to raising awareness of dementia and have put together an action plan to support our work in this important field. Providing dementia-friendly interior design is, of course, very dear to our hearts and has been for many years. Our Managing Director, Finn Lester, studied at the world-leading Dementia Services Development Centre at Stirling University and now plays a lead role in developing the understanding of dementia-friendly design with all our clients. Priory View Shortlisted for Inside Housing Awards![]() We are thrilled to hear that Priory View, a fabulous new extra care scheme that we designed for Central Bedfordshire Council, has been shortlisted for a major national award. Priory View is an 83 apartment development in the heart of Dunstable. It features an impressive range of facilities, including a restaurant and retail bistro, a luxury spa, library, games room and several meeting and activity rooms. The building was completed in summer 2016 and has seen shortlisted for Older People's Development of the Year for Inside Housing's Top 60 Developments Awards. Stanbridge Interiors Wins Major Over 50s Housing Award![]() We're delighted to announce that Stanbridge Interiors has been named the Most Outstanding Interior Design Consultancy in the 2015 UK Over 50s Housing Awards. The award was presented to Director Finn Lester at a champagne reception in London. Receiving the award, Finn thanked our many clients for putting their trust in us for over 15 years, allowing us to become widely renowned as leading innovators in a highly competitive industry. Finn also paid tribute to the Stanbridge team: "Without their expertise, dedication and hard work, the wonderful interiors we create simply wouldn't be possible. I'm thrilled that their efforts have been recognised in this way." 2015 Healthcare Design Award for Pencric![]() Our interior design has helped Housing Plus to scoop a second major design award for Pencric extra care scheme in Staffordshire. Having already been named Midland Development of the Year by the Chartered Institute of Housing, Pencric has now been recognised as the Best Care Complex in the 2015 Pinders Healthcare Design Awards. Housing Plus Business Development Director Ursula Bennion said: "From start to finish, everyone involved with the project had a very clear understanding of the housing needs of the local community. The completed development has exceeded expectations and raised the bar for purpose-built extra care schemes." Awards Double for Hemsworth Court![]() Our interior design for Hemsworth Court in Belfast has been fundamental to the scheme achieving not one but two recent awards. Hemsworth Court is a supported housing scheme for people aged 55 and over living with dementia. We are therefore extremely proud that the world-renowned University of Stirling Dementia Services Development Centre has conferred its highly sought after Gold Award for dementia-friendly design on Hemsworth Court - the first scheme to achieve this award in Northern Ireland. And to cap it all, Hemsworth Court was judged Best Housing Association Scheme in the Northern Ireland Housing Council Awards. Pencric Named 2014 Midland Development of the Year![]() We're very proud that Pencric extra care scheme has won a major design award: the Chartered Institute of Housing 2014 Midland Development of the Year. Pencric is an 82-apartment extra care scheme in Penkridge, Staffs. The award recognises the exceptionally high quality of the interior finishes we designed. The scheme is operated by the Housing Plus Group, and incorporates communal facilities designed to encourage use by both residents and the local community, including a gym, health & beauty salon and an excellent bar and restaurant. |
