Stanbridge Designed Home Scoops 2017 National Housing Award
Given the considerable effort our design team put into Village 135 in Wythenshawe, we couldn't be happier to know that the Wythenshawe Community Housing Group scheme was awarded the Best Large Development of the Year in the 2017 National Housing Awards. Comprising 135 apartments for older people south of Manchester, it features a wide range of facilities for residents and the local community, including a gorgeous bistro, luxury spa, hair salon, activity rooms and a fifth floor indoor garden room with fabulous views arcross the area.
Stanbridge specified all the interior finishes, including flooring, wall coverings, bespoke joinery and lighting, as well as providing furniture, artwork, ornaments and window dressings. This national award is a great reward for the hard work of all involved.
Royal Seal of Approval for Priory View
On 11 April 2017, our Managing Director Finn Lester had the honour of being introduced to HM The Queen at the official opening of Priory View in Dunstable. Accompanied by HRH Prince Phillip The Duke of Edinburgh, The Queen unveiled a plaque at Central Bedfordshire Council's scheme in Dunstable.
As well as meeting residents and staff, the Queen spoke to those who built and designed the award-winning scheme. Commenting on her day, Finn said: "It was a real thrill to meet the Queen. She has a great sense of humour, asking me if I'm still talking to the builder and architect - which I'm pleased to say I am!"
We are all delighted that the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh have officially opened one of our schemes - what a privilege to have their seal of approval.
